HAL inks $1B deal with GE Aerospace for 113 Tejas Mk1A engines

HAL has finalised a USD 1 billion deal with GE Aerospace to procure 113 F404-GE-IN20 jet engines for the Tejas Mk1A light combat aircraft. Deliveries will begin in 2027, supporting India’s push to strengthen air power amid delays in fighter induction.
