Ravinder’s gold, Elavenil’s bronze lift India in ISSF Cairo

India made a composed start to the ISSF World Championships in Cairo, with strong finals appearances from Elavenil Valarivan and Arjun Babuta and a commanding 50m pistol qualification lead from Ravinder Singh. Though medals eluded the squad, India ended Day 1 firmly in contention.
