Agricultural runoff, settlements degrading Manipur’s Loktak Lake

A study by Nagaland University has found that agricultural runoff, shifting cultivation and growing settlements are degrading rivers feeding Manipur’s Loktak Lake, threatening its biodiversity and the floating national park that shelters the endangered Sangai deer.
