Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari announced that India's logistics costs will fall to single digits within five years, emphasised plans to make India’s auto industry the global leader, and stressed the need to boost exports, reduce imports, and enhance farmer purchasing power.

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) held a stakeholders meeting with industry and skill training centres on ways to increase women workforce in the logistics sector.
