Centre greenlights Northeast's ₹22,864 cr NH-6 corridor

The Union Cabinet has cleared a ₹22,864 crore greenfield highway project connecting Meghalaya and Assam, set to transform connectivity and logistics in the Northeast. The 166.80-kilometre corridor will ease traffic on NH-06, enhance trade and tourism, and stimulate economic growth across five northeastern states.
