Assam to install ₹500 crore cancer proton therapy unit at GMCH

The Assam government has approved a Rs 500 crore proton therapy unit at Gauhati Medical College Hospital, bringing advanced cancer treatment to the public health system for the first time and reducing the need for patients to seek care outside the state.
