India’s first sea lift rail bridge to open in Rameswaram

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate India’s first vertical lift railway sea bridge in Rameswaram on 6 April, besides launching several infrastructure projects across Tamil Nadu. Built at a cost of over ₹550 crore, the new Pamban Bridge is a marvel of engineering, replacing the 110-year-old historic cantilever structure.
