Srinagar MP, ex-mayor booked over ‘misleading’ social media posts

Police said the material being circulated, at first glance, appeared to contain distorted narratives and unverified claims that could potentially trigger public unrest and disturb social harmony. They added that such attempts to spread misinformation can pose a serious threat to peace, security and overall stability in society.
