One dead, eight missing as vehicle plunges into Teesta in Sikkim

A tourist vehicle plunged nearly 1,000 feet into the Teesta river in North Sikkim, leaving one dead, two injured and eight missing. The vehicle was heading from Lachen to Lachung when it skidded off a sharp bend in a notoriously accident-prone stretch of road.
