Rains strand 1,500 tourists in Sikkim, 8 still missing in Teesta

Over 1,500 tourists have been left stranded across north Sikkim following incessant rain and landslides. The search for eight missing persons, whose vehicle plunged into the Teesta River, was suspended on Saturday as the river swelled dangerously amid continued rainfall and reports of a cloudburst.
