Karnataka scraps E-Bike Taxi Scheme, citing safety concerns and violations

Federation raises concerns over E-Bike Taxis, saying that they were found to be “unsafe for women” and were “illegal” and “in violation of the Motor Vehicles Act”. As a result, the Karnataka government, led by Transport Minister Reddy, takes decisive action to halt the operations of these taxis in the state.
