Apple CEO Tim Cook has set on a journey to Vietnam, a pivotal manufacturing hub for the tech giant, to engage directly with users and strengthen ties with local suppliers.

Arriving in Hanoi on Monday for a two-day visit, Cook's agenda includes meetings with students, content creators, and Apple product enthusiasts, as reported by state media.

According to the online newspaper VietnamNet, Cook expressed intentions to enhance Apple's engagement with local suppliers and contribute to initiatives focused on clean water projects and education opportunities in the region.

Amidst Cook's visit, concerns have been raised regarding human and environmental rights issues in Vietnam.

Over 60 human and environmental rights organizations recently penned a letter to Apple, urging the company to address Vietnam's detention of climate experts.

Activist groups have called upon Apple to utilize its influence, given its significant manufacturing presence in the country, to advocate for justice and accountability.
