Apple is set to kick off its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) with the customary keynote presentation at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT on June 10.

The highly anticipated event, which will be streamed live on Apple’s events page and YouTube, will spotlight the company's latest software offerings and the developers behind them.

This year's keynote will focus on revealing the newest versions of Apple’s operating systems, including iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, tvOS 18, visionOS 2, and watchOS 11.

CEO Tim Cook is expected to address the company’s stance and advancements in generative AI, an area where Apple has been criticized for lagging behind competitors like Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI.

Recent rumors hint at a potential partnership with OpenAI, the developer behind GPT, which could signify a major step forward in Apple’s AI capabilities.

Speculation is rife about the AI enhancements that will be integrated into iOS 18, aimed at closing the gap with its tech rivals.

While WWDC is traditionally a software-centric event, Apple has occasionally used the platform to unveil new hardware, such as Apple Silicon updates and last year’s Vision Pro mixed reality headset.

However, the latest rumors suggest that this year might not see any major hardware announcements, despite increasing pressure following the lukewarm reception of the Vision Pro and the discontinuation of the electric car project.

The centerpiece of the event will undoubtedly be iOS 18, but macOS 15 is also set to make waves with significant design changes, including a long-awaited update to the Calculator app, enhancing its functionality and user experience.

Additionally, many of the AI features introduced in iOS 18 are expected to be integrated into macOS 15.

As developers and tech enthusiasts gear up for the weeklong event, all eyes will be on the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino to see how Apple plans to innovate and respond to the growing demands in the tech industry.
