Apple enthusiasts eagerly awaited the ‘Let Loose’ event set for May 7, 2024, promising exciting updates to the iPad lineup. The event kicked off at 7:30 PM IST, with a tagline hinting at creative freedom.

 

Conducted entirely online, CEO Tim Cook and top executives shared details via a pre-recorded session expected to last around 35 minutes.

From the Apple Park in Cupertino, California, CEO Tim Cook began by reflecting on the global impact of the Apple Vision Pro.

 

Key announcements included:

 

1.Pricing Update: The iPad 10's price reduced to $349, while the 11-inch iPad Pro now starts at $999.

 

 

 

 

2.Apple Pencil Pro: The Apple Pencil Pro has undergone a significant upgrade, transforming the painting experience in Procreate.

 

New functionalities include a squeeze feature for menu access, haptic feedback, rolling capability to change brush shapes, and integration with Find My for enhanced convinience.

 

 

3.New Magic Keyboard: Redesigned with a sleeker concept, retaining core features. Includes a function row, aluminum palm rest, and trackpad with haptic feedback for a MacBook-like experience.

 

 

 

 

4.ML-Powered Stem Splitter: Capable of transforming any track into four distinct stems, featuring a 12 MP rear camera, studio-grade microphones, LiDAR scanner, and True Tone flash.

 

 

5.M4 Chip: Enables slim design and tandem OLED display, with second-generation 3nm process, revamped display engine, 10-core GPU with ray tracing, and up to four times faster performance compared to the M2 chip.

 

 

6.Tandem OLED System: Utilizes two OLED displays for 1000 units of brightness and a peak brightness of 1600 units.

 

7.Thinnest iPad Ever: The new iPad Pro boasts the thinnest profile to date.

 

 

8.iPad Air: Introduces four new colors and two models, available in 11-inch and 13-inch options.

 

9.M2 Chip: Promises "50 percent faster" performance than the previous M1 Air across various tasks, with continued use of an LCD display.
