Governor of Assam, Gulab Chand Kataria will inaugurate the Regional conference on the theme: “e-Governance” in Guwahati on 9th Jan, 2024.
The union minister of science & Technology, MoS PMO, Personnel, public grievances, pensions, atomic energy and space, Jitendra Singh will address the gathering.
The two-day conference being held from Jan 9-10, 2024 is organized by the Department of administrative reforms and public grievances(DARPG)in collaboration wit the government of Assam, comprising eight north-eastern states and four states of eastern region.
The conference will showcase all award-winning nominations spanning India under the national e-governance awards scheme, 2023.
The regional conference at Guwahati blankets 7 session on diverse topics, the first session on “Unified service delivery portal” will be chaired by Puneet Yadav, join secretary, DARPG, government of India(GOI). Whereas Nath Tripathi, DG, IIPA, will deliver keynote address on activities of IIPA in the north eastern region.
During the ongoing session, a booklet on the journey of 25 regional conferences and an e-journal on e-governance initiatives will be released. "At the event, spokespersons for the award-winning initiatives and exemplary practices will offer a concise overview of their projects, along with a brief description of the transformative changes achieved through specific government programs", as stated in the announcement from the Personnel Ministry.
The objective of this conference is to unite national and state-level public administration organisations, providing a platform for them to exchange insights and experiences regarding innovations in public administration. In addition, the aim is to implement Prime Minister's vision of "Sushasan" by empowering people through digital transformation.
