Google is reportedly preparing to unveil not just two, but three new Pixel smartphones at their annual fall showcase: the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL.
Leaks have begun to emerge, with hands-on live images of the Pixel 9 Pro surfacing courtesy of Russian publication Rozetked.
Rumours suggest that the Pixel 9 Pro XL will succeed last year's Pixel 8 Pro in terms of dimensions.
Meanwhile, the regular Pixel 9 Pro is expected to resemble the vanilla Pixel 9 but with additional pro-grade features, such as the periscope telephoto camera visible in the leaked shots.
Design-wise, Google seems to be moving away from the signature "visor" camera bump, opting for a sleeker oval-shaped module.
The polished metal frame also appears to have a flatter profile this time, departing from recent curved edges.
In terms of specifications, the Pixel 9 Pro is anticipated to be powered by Google's Tensor G4 chip, boast a massive 16GB of Micron RAM (an increase of 4GB from its predecessor), Samsung UFS storage, and even satellite connectivity.
With the Pixel 9 Pro XL poised to cater to larger-sized preferences, it remains to be seen how Google will differentiate between the Pro and non-Pro models in terms of overall footprint.
