Government of India on Saturday, announced the Inaugural edition of the National Creators Award to celebrate India’s digital creator economy and it’s impact.

The burgeoning digital creator ecosystem in India is experiencing unprecedented growth, reshaping narratives, and empowering communities. The creators represent the spirit of a revitalized India and are catalysts for social transformation, cultural preservation, and economic empowerment. Their contributions resonate across diverse domains, from storytelling and environmental advocacy to education and gaming, the Ministry of Electronics & IT said.
The National Creators Award spans over 20 categories, honouring excellence and impact in various spheres.
From recognizing storytellers weaving cultural narratives to champions of environmental sustainability and advocates for social change, the award encompasses a broad spectrum of digital innovation.
Notable categories include the Best Storyteller Award, Disruptor of the Year, and Celebrity Creator of the Year.
Among the distinguished categories are awards acknowledging creators promoting India's rich heritage, fostering global outreach, and amplifying tourism potential.
The initiative also pays tribute to creators championing cleanliness, technology decoders, and icons of health and fitness.
The selection process for the National Creators Award involves a screening of nominations, followed by a combination of public voting and jury evaluation. Winners will be announced based on a synthesis of public sentiment and expert judgment.
