Following the speculations surrounding this anticipated event, Samsung on Wednesday launched it’s three new flagship phones- The Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24 Plus and the Galaxy S24.
The handsets were debuted at the tech giant’s first Galaxy unpacked event of this year, held at the SAP Centre in San Jose, California. The livestream for the Samsung Galaxy unpacked event 2024 kicked off at 11:30 pm according to IST. The event was graced with the presence of virtual viewers via Samsung’s official social media platforms, including Facebook, X and YouTube
Google, which as partnered with the conglomerate on AI for the latter’s new flagship phones, announced the “Circle to Search” feature.
Sundar Pichai posted on X, “We continue to use AI to make search more helpful and intuitive, building on features such as Lens, Circle to Search to our next big advancement that lets you search what you see on Android phone with a simple gesture without switching apps”
" It is a new way to search anything on your Android phone without switching apps. Now, with a simple gesture, you can select what you’re curious about in whatever way comes naturally to you- like circling, highlighting, scribbling or tapping- and get more information right where you are”, said Google.
Stressing on the features, the Samsung galaxy S24 provides a “Live Translate” with two-way, real time voice and text translations of phone calls within the native app. Also, no third-party apps are required, and on-device AI keeps conversations completely private.
Additionally, the company announced support for seven years of security upgrades, and “generations of OS upgrades”, starting with the Galaxy S24 Lineup.

Wrapping up the event, Samsung offered a sneak peek of the soon-to-be-released "Galaxy Ring," a health-focused wearable enhanced with AI to elevate user interaction.
While detailed information is scarce, this revelation puts an end to substantial conjecture and officially affirms Samsung's active pursuit of this groundbreaking device.
