Truecaller, the leading caller identification application, has announced a new collaboration with Microsoft, aiming to leverage the latest 'Personal Voice' technology from Azure AI Speech. This integration will enable users to create a digital representation of their own voice, enhancing the capabilities of Truecaller's AI Assistant.
Initially introduced in 2022, Truecaller's AI Assistant amalgamates a diverse array of AI functionalities, including automatic call answering, call screening, message-taking, automated responses, and call recording for later review.
Raphael Mimoun, Truecaller Israel's Product Director and General Manager, emphasised the significance of the new 'personal voice' feature, stating, "This groundbreaking capability not only adds a touch of familiarity and comfort for the users but also showcases the power of AI in transforming the way we interact with our digital assistants."
With Microsoft's Personal Voice technology integrated into Truecaller's AI Assistant, users can now have their callers interact with a replicated and authentic version of their own voice rather than a generic digital assistant voice.
The rollout of this feature will be gradual, spanning across all of Truecaller's markets, according to the company's announcement.
