Union Minister Jitendra Singh hosted a reception at his residence in New Delhi for 225 women scientists from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) who led the organization's Republic Day tableau at Kartavya Path.
The event celebrated the remarkable contributions of these women scientists, including those who played pivotal roles in missions like Chandrayaan-3, Aditya L1, and other recent successes that have garnered global acclaim.
Led entirely by eight women scientists, the ISRO tableau showcased the agency's achievements, symbolizing the prowess and dedication of India's space program. Among the attendees were 220 invited women scientists along with their spouses, who cheered on the contingent with fervor and pride.
Representing various ISRO centers located in Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, and Sriharikota, these women scientists epitomized the spirit of innovation and excellence that defines ISRO's endeavors.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh, who holds the portfolios of Science & Technology, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy, and Space, expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his visionary leadership in reforming and revitalizing the space sector. Singh credited PM Modi for ushering in new space reforms that have liberated the sector from past constraints, enabling organizations like ISRO to achieve greater heights.
The reception provided an opportunity for the women scientists to reflect on their experiences and share their feelings of honor and privilege at being part of such a significant event.
They expressed appreciation for the spontaneous applause they received as the ISRO tableau paraded down the Kartavya Path, underscoring the nation's admiration and support for their contributions to India's space exploration endeavors.
