Florida-based company Space Perspective has unveiled the world's largest space capsule, promising a luxurious experience for space tourists. Named Spaceship Neptune - Excelsior. This spherical pod offers unparalleled comfort and panoramic views of Earth from the edge of space, all for a ticket price of $125,000 per seat.

Differing from traditional rocket-based space tourism, Spaceship Neptune is strapped to a giant balloon, which will ascend to 20 miles above the Earth's surface, allowing passengers to spend approximately two hours in the final frontier. The capsule boasts a spacious interior, featuring a bar, plush seating, and even a 'proper restroom,' setting a new standard for space travel comfort.

Compared to other space tourism companies like Virgin Galactic and Blue Origin, which offer shorter and more expensive trips, Space Perspective aims to provide a more accessible option for those seeking a unique cosmic adventure. Despite reaching a lower altitude than its competitors, the company emphasizes the expansive views and unparalleled comfort offered by Spaceship Neptune.

"With the largest windows ever flown to space and a spherical design that allows for the roomiest interior of any human spaceflight capsule ever made, our spaceship offers the most incredible panoramic views of Earth," shared the company in a recent announcement.

Named in honor of late balloon space-jump pioneer Joe Kittinger, whose record-breaking skydive inspired generations of space enthusiasts, the test capsule Excelsior is a testament to human ingenuity and exploration. With a diameter of 16 feet and a pressurized volume exceeding 2,000 cubic feet, Neptune provides ample space for up to eight "Explorers" to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime journey.

Inside the capsule, passengers will find themselves in the world's first Space Lounge, complete with Wi-Fi, fine dining, plush seating, and luxury amenities. From their deep reclining seats, travelers can marvel at the wonders of space through the largest windows ever flown, soaking in the awe-inspiring views while experiencing the ultimate comfort.

"We are on the cusp of a staggering shift, not only in the way we humans experience space but also what we conjure in our minds when we think of the spaceship that gets us there," remarked Taber MacCallum, co-founder of Space Perspective. "We are redefining the category and paving the way for accessible space travel for years to come", he added.
