One of the upcoming features that WhatsApp is reportedly developing is the option for users to create and share complete sticker packs directly with other contacts from the app.

As reported by WABetaInfo, a website that monitors the latest updates on WhatsApp, this feature is currently in its beta phase. It has started to be made available to a select group of Android users through the latest WhatsApp beta update version 2.24.25.2 on the Google Play Store.

Although the ability to create custom sticker packs is still being worked on, beta testers have already gained the ability to share entire sticker packs, indicating that this feature will likely be accessible to more users following successful testing.

To explain how this feature functions, sources indicate that users can open the sticker picker in any conversation and find a new three-dot menu icon next to each sticker pack.

This menu will present two options: sharing the sticker pack or removing it from their personal collection. By choosing the share option, users can effortlessly send sticker packs to friends, relatives, or group chats.

For the official sticker packs created by WhatsApp, sharing will generate a direct link to the official sticker store. This allows recipients to download the pack from the store without the need for WhatsApp to re-upload stickers that are already available online.

In contrast, third-party sticker packs can be directly uploaded and shared with contacts or groups, providing convenience for users who enjoy making or collecting unique sticker sets.

Regarding availability, the sticker-sharing feature is currently confined to a limited number of beta testers who have downloaded the latest WhatsApp beta for Android from the Google Play Store.

WhatsApp has also highlighted this feature on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, suggesting that it will soon be available to a wider audience.

Although there is no official date for a global release, the phased rollout to beta testers indicates that WhatsApp is in the later stages of testing.

Users keen to experience the feature can join the beta program on the Google Play Store to access it before the general launch.
