Reliance Industries Limited Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani, along with Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation Nita Ambani, cast their votes on Monday at the Malabar Hill polling booth in Mumbai for the ongoing Lok Sabha Election 2024.
They were joined by Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited Chairman Akash Ambani, who also exercised his right to vote.
Mukesh Ambani emphasized the importance of voting in a brief statement to the media. “Harek bhartiyon ko vote dena chahie, yah meri sab deshvasiyon se appeal hai…,” he said, urging every Indian to participate in the electoral process.
Nita Ambani also shared her thoughts, highlighting the civic duty of every citizen. “I think it’s so important as an Indian citizen to vote. I urge everybody in India to go out and exercise their right to vote,” she said.
As the Lok Sabha elections move towards their final stages, polling is underway in 13 constituencies across Maharashtra, including six key constituencies in Mumbai as part of the fifth phase of the polls. These constituencies are crucial in determining the future leadership of the country.
The voter turnout in these constituencies is expected to be significant, with over 2.46 crore eligible voters set to decide the fate of 264 candidates.
The constituencies in focus include Mumbai North, Mumbai North Central, Mumbai North West, Mumbai North East, Mumbai South Central, Mumbai South, Thane, Kalyan, Bhiwandi, Palghar, Nashik, Dindori, and Dhule.
