Bollywood icons lead by example on voting day in Maharashtra

Superstar Akshay Kumar was among the early voters who made his way to the polling booth. After casting his vote, he shared his thoughts on the importance of voting for the nation's future. "...I want my India to be developed and strong. I voted keeping that in mind. India should vote for what they deem is right... I think voter turnout will be good," he commented optimistically.

 

Filmmaker Kunal Kohli casted his ballot at the Pali Hill polling station in Bandra West. Kohli made an earnest appeal to the public, urging them to exercise their right to vote. "I appeal to people to come out and vote. That's your right, and later on you don't have the right to complain if you don't vote. You must vote and enjoy the rest of the day," he stated.

 

Actor Sanya Malhotra, fresh from casting her vote, proudly displayed the indelible ink mark on her finger, a symbol of her participation in the democratic process.

 

Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor also cast her vote at a polling station in Mumbai, emphasizing the importance of voter turnout. "Please come out and vote," she urged her fans and fellow citizens.

 

The star-studded voter list continued with actor Rajkummar Rao, who showed off his inked finger after voting. Siblings Farhan Akhtar and director Zoya Akhtar also marked their participation, both displaying their inked fingers and posing for the cameras post-voting.

 

Other Bollywood celebrities like Shahid Kapoor, Tabu, and Paresh Rawal also exercised their franchise, contributing to the festive and democratic spirit of the day.
