Reacting to the Supreme Court's decision, VD Sharma, BJP President and candidate from the Khajuraho Lok Sabha constituency, expressed his anticipated support for the verdict.
"I fully support the Supreme Court's verdict, as it upholds the integrity of our electoral system. EVMs are not unique to India; they are used worldwide and have proven to be reliable and efficient", he said.
Sharma added, "It's disheartening to see certain political parties, particularly Congress and leaders like Digvijaya Singh, attempting to undermine the electoral process by questioning the validity of EVMs. Their pleas for additional verification are nothing but a ploy to shift blame for potential electoral defeat"
"I call on Congress and its leaders to be accountable for their actions. Their frivolous petitions have not only wasted the time of the Supreme Court but have also squandered the nation's resources and time. It's high time they answer for their disruptive tactics and focus on constructive engagement in the democratic process", Sharma remarked.
