Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced his day with prayers at the revered Jagannath temple in Puri on Monday morning, followed by a vibrant roadshow to garner support for BJP candidates.
The roadshow, led by PM Modi, traversed from Marichkote Square to Medical Square on Grand Road in Puri, drawing throngs of enthusiastic supporters.
Accompanying him were state BJP president Manmohan Samal, MP candidate Sambit Patra, and Puri MLA nominee Jayanta Sarangi.
As thousands lined the barricaded stretch of Grand Road, waving the lotus symbol, the atmosphere buzzed with anticipation and excitement.
Elaborate security arrangements ensured the smooth conduct of the roadshow.
Following the spirited display of public engagement, PM Modi departed via helicopter for Angul, where he is scheduled to address a public meeting.
Subsequently, he will proceed to Cuttack for another poll rally before heading to West Bengal for a campaign event in Jhargram.
Meanwhile, the second phase of polling for five Lok Sabha constituencies and 35 assembly seats in Odisha commenced under tight security measures on Monday.
