Three people have been arrested for brutally stabbing a man to death at DDA Park near JPC Hospital in New Delhi over an old altercation. The New Usmanpur PS team solved the case within 18 hours, according to officials.
The incident took place on Saturday morning. The accused have been identified as Shahnawaz (21), Noor Hasan (20), and Anas (21), all residents of Seelampur, Delhi.
Upon reaching the site of the crime, the officials found an individual lying in an injured state. He was immediately shifted to JPC Hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead. The deceased was later identified as Toheed (20), resident of New Seelampur.
A case was registered under section 103(1) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at New Usmanpur PS and an investigation was launched.

Teams led by Station House Officer (SHO) KL Yadav under the close supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Seelampur, Malkiyat Singh, collected vital evidence from multiple sources.
During the course of the investigation, it came to light that the deceased had been involved in a quarrel with some people earlier. Based on the evidence collected, the police team apprehended three accused.
During interrogation, all three accused confessed to their involvement in the crime. They disclosed that the deceased had earlier slapped accused Noor Hasan and had threatened accused Shahnawaz with dire consequences. Seeking revenge, the trio hatched a conspiracy, lured the deceased to a park, and stabbed him with a knife.
The weapon used in the offence has also been recovered, police said. On verification, accused Shahnawaz was previously found to be involved in a robbery case.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
