The Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi inaugurated the new office chambers of India’s International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN) on Tuesday.
He also addressed the gathering, which included the Head of Institutions from across the country, sharing the lessons he learned leading the Indian Army.
“COAS drew upon his leadership experience to underscore the importance of integrity, decisiveness, adaptability and leading by example. He emphasised that institutions, like the Army, thrive on vision, discipline, teamwork, and a strong culture of mentorship, values that nurture resilient leaders and responsible nation-builders,” read the post of ADGPI.
On the sidelines of the event, the Indian Army and IIMUN signed an MoU “to enhance cooperation in peacekeeping training through the exchange of expertise, seminars, exercises and participation of subject-matter experts at major international forums.”
IIMUN is a youth organisation, founded in 2011, that hosts academic simulations of United Nations (UN) sessions for students aged 13 to 22. It organises events where participants role-play as diplomats and deliberate on local, national, and international issues in committee sessions.
