Former Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday alleged that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers attempted to stop him from entering the polling station.
In a video posted on X, Baghel can be seen walking through the gate of what appears to be a polling booth and a woman chasing out a number of people with BJP flags. He then stands and watches while the woman continues to argue with men in the crowds.
Urging Congress workers to ensure the polls were conducted smoothly with the maximum number of voters, Baghel also tweeted that the departure of the BJP was certain.
He also tweeted that voters in his constituency had complained to him that his picture did not appear to be "too clear" on the EVMs at polling booths.
The former Congress chief minister is contesting from Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh and is pitted against the BJP’s sitting MP Santosh Pandey.
