A voter turnout of 46.69 per cent was recorded till 3 pm in the five Lok Sabha seats of Bihar in the third phase of the general elections.
Voting in 9,848 polling stations in Araria, Jhanjharpur, Supaul, Madhepura and Khagaria seats, all currently held by the NDA, began at 7 am amid tight security and will continue till 6 pm.

The four Lok Sabha constituencies in Assam, where polling was underway on Tuesday in the third phase, recorded a voter turnout of 63.08 percent till 3 pm.
Dhubri recorded the highest polling percentage of 65.51 per cent, followed by Barpeta (65.20), Kokrajhar (63.64) and Guwahati (57.47) till 3 pm. Polling began at 7 am and will continue till 5 pm.

A total of 49.27 per cent of 73.37 lakh voters exercised their franchise in four Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal till 1 pm on Tuesday.
Altogether 73,37,651 voters, including 36,12,395 women and 154 persons belonging to the third gender, are eligible to exercise their franchise. Electors are seen lining up outside 7,360 polling stations in the four parliamentary constituencies of Maldaha Uttar, Maldaha Dakshin, Murshidabad and Jangipur, where voting was underway in the third phase of polls.

Bihar: A presiding officer at a polling booth in Supaul district passes away allegedly due to heart attack. He has been identified as Shailendra Kumar.
Doctor says, "He passed away in the morning...This happened where he was posted. He was rushed to PHC where he was declared dead. Body has been brought here to Sadar Hospital for postmortem. His relatives were informed and they too have reached here. Postmortem has been done. It was found that he was diabetic."

Voting began on Tuesday for four constituencies to decide the political fate of 47 candidates in the third and final phase of LS elections in Assam.
Polling commenced at 7 am and will end at 5 pm in Guwahati, Barpeta, Dhubri and Kokrajhar seats. Altogether 82.11 lakh voters, including 40.84 women and 112 belonging to the third gender are eligible to exercise their franchise in 9,516 polling stations.
