Trinamool Congress worker Mintu Sheikh was killed on Sunday night when a crude bomb was hurled at him as he was cycling home in the West Bengal Bolpur Lok Sabha constituency. 


Ketugram comes under the Bolpur (SC) constituency, which is voting today, May 13, in the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, with the other seats of .

 Baharampur, Krishnanagar, Ranaghat (SC), Bardhaman Purba (SC), Bardhaman-Durgapur, Asansol, and Birbhum.

 

Sheikh was injured in the blast and died in hospital.

 

News channels report that the TMC has accused CPI(M) of being involved in Sheikh’s killing, which the latter has denied.
