The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Thursday declared the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) results for 2026, recording pass percentages of 99.18 per cent and 99.13 per cent respectively, with girls outperforming boys in both examinations.
A total of 2,58,721 candidates appeared for the ICSE examination, of whom 2,56,590 cleared it, while 2,131 did not qualify. For the ISC examination, 1,03,316 students appeared, with 1,02,414 passing and 902 not clearing the exam.
Girls registered higher success rates across both levels. In ICSE, girls achieved a pass percentage of 99.46 per cent compared to 98.93 per cent among boys. In ISC, girls recorded 99.48 per cent, while boys stood at 98.81 per cent.

Category-wise performance remained consistently high. In ICSE, general category students recorded a pass percentage of 99.26 per cent, followed by Other Backward Classes at 99.24 per cent, Scheduled Castes at 98.76 per cent and Scheduled Tribes at 98.07 per cent.
In ISC, general category students achieved a pass rate of 99.17 per cent, while Other Backward Classes recorded 99.12 per cent. Scheduled Tribes registered 98.84 per cent and Scheduled Castes 98.77 per cent.
The examinations were conducted across 67 subjects for ICSE and 45 subjects for ISC, covering a wide academic spectrum.
The results have been made available on the official CISCE website (cisce.org), allowing students to access their scores online.
