The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has extended the deadline for applications to the Primary Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2026. Eligible candidates can now complete the online application process and pay the prescribed fee by October 28, 2026.

 

The recruitment drive will fill 12,405 Assistant Teacher vacancies in primary schools across Uttar Pradesh. The deadline for correcting details in submitted applications has also been extended to October 31, 2026.

• Total vacancies: 12,405
• Last date to submit the online application: October 28, 2026

• Last date for application correction: October 31, 2026
• Written examination: December 3 and 4, 2026

Of the total vacancies, 11,508 posts are for Assistant Teacher (Urban) positions under the Basic Education Department. Another 897 posts are available for Assistant Teachers in the primary sections of non-government aided schools.

 

The written examination schedule has not been changed following the extension of the application deadline and will be conducted on December 3 and 4, 2026.
