One day after the Haryana elections, the state’s major politician, INLD's Abhay Singh Chautala had spent the whole day relaxing at his Sirsa residence with his grandson Udham Singh after campaigning for his party in the state.

Haryana went to polls on October 5 and the results will be announced on Tuesday, October 8.

Chautala said, “deeply influenced by the freedom fighter Sardar Udham Singh, therefore, I named my grandson after him and I want that my grandson should also grow up and follow in the footsteps of Udham Singh and bring glory to the entire family.”

INLD supremo and former Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala was also found pausing all the election work and resting at his Teja Khera Farm in Haryana.

Abhay said, “Now the election is over, people have cast their votes in EVMs, and the results will decide.”

He further added that exit polls are not credible, “their figures have always been wrong and this time they will be proved wrong again.”

“The election results will be in favour of the INLD-BSP alliance, BJP and Congress will not get full majority in Haryana and we will play the role of king in forming power,” Abhay added.

He said that during polling, it was only INLD-BSP, who raised issues of public interest.

“During the assembly election campaign, only the INLD-BJP alliance raised issues of public interest while BJP and Congress remained entangled in the politics of caste and discrimination,” he said.

According to Chautala, the INLD-BSP alliance has received strong support from the Dalit community and Sarva Samaj.

Chautala credited the efforts of BSP supremo Mayawati and BSP national convenor Akash Anand, stating that their campaign significantly benefited the alliance, leading voters to back them with full dedication.

Chautala also praised the hard work of INLD and BSP workers, as well as party officials, expressing pride in their dedication throughout the campaign.

He emphasised that if the INLD-BSP coalition government comes to power, it will set an example by fulfilling its election promises from day one.
