The ongoing Haryana Assembly elections were marred by sporadic incidents of violence on Saturday, with scuffles reported in Nuh and Hisar districts. 

 

In Nuh district, a contentious altercation erupted between supporters of Mohammad Ilyas, the Congress candidate vying for the Punhana Assembly constituency, and his independent rival, Raees Khan.

 

Meanwhile, in Hisar's Narnaund, tensions escalated into clashes between workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress outside a polling station. The incident underscored the heightened emotions and competition between the two major parties.

 

Fortunately, no reports of injuries or arrests have been disclosed, suggesting that authorities were able to restore order promptly.  

 

Meanwhile, the videos of both incidents have surfaced on the internet.

 

Independent candidate claims Congress rival assaulted him:

 

Independent candidate Balraj Kundu has made a shocking allegation, claiming he and his assistant were assaulted by former Congress MLA Anand Singh Dangi and his supporters outside a polling station in Meham constituency.

Kundu is contesting against Dangi's son, Balram Dangi, who represents the Congress party.

 

According to reports, Kundu and his assistant were left with torn clothing, and a video has surfaced showing the two recounting the ordeal. This incident highlights the intense rivalry and tensions surrounding India's electoral contests.
