“Game of Thrones” stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are a tactile couple and that’s how they maintain love in their eight-year old marriage.
Kit recently noted that everything fell into place when he met Rose in 2011. The couple shares a son and a daughter.
“Rose and I are very caring of each other,” Kit said in an interview. “We’re very loving, and tactile, and we make sure we tell each other that we love each other.”
The 39-year-old actor emphasised that his life partner is “the most genuine soul."
“I’m very, very lucky. I really am. And Rose was there through all of the hard stuff, and she’s been through some journeys with me. But it has truly worked out,” Harington said.
The actor recently played the role of struggling addict Sir Henry on HBO’s show “Industry”. During the time, his wife Rose Leslie provided crucial support as he navigated a role that mirrored his real-life battles with sobriety.
“Rose and I knew it was going to probably be quite a heavy season with this stuff, and Rose was working in Stratford doing a play, she said, ‘OK, you take the kids while you’re filming in Cardiff,’” Kit explained. “So, when I’d come back from filming, where I’ve been doing God knows what, I’d walk in the door and the kids were there.”

Kit emphasised that having such a reliable anchor kept him grounded and protected him from a possible relapse.
“Anything dark I’d had to deal with during the day was gone,” he added. “It was bizarre and it was great. I’d get home and be a dad.”
Notably, the actor has struggled with alcohol addiction for years but he assured that he would not change a thing about his sobriety journey. He had even resisted going to rehab in 2019. Kit noted everything in his life “fell into place,” following his stint in rehab, as he and Rose welcomed their son the following year.
“I think it all happened just at the right time. I’d made some choices, and then everything fell into place. And that’s what I was told would happen if I made those choices. I think that my kids met me at the right time.”
