Emmy-nominated actor Natasha Lyonne has admitted to a recent "relapse" after years of sobriety.

Known for her roles in “Poker Face” and “Russian Doll”, Lyonne took to social media to share the news with her fans, stating, "Took my relapse public, more to come."

She followed up with additional details, emphasising her commitment to transparency and the non-linear nature of recovery.

Lyonne has been open in the past about her struggles with drug and alcohol addiction throughout the 2000s, and this latest update has drawn widespread support from the industry and fans alike.

As fans quickly flooded her comment section with messages for her quick recovery, the actor added, "Recovery is a lifelong process. Anyone out there struggling, remember you're not alone. Grateful for love & smart feet. Gonna do it for baby Bambo. Stay honest, folks. Sick as our secrets. If no one told ya today, I love you. No matter how far down the scales we have gone, we will see how our experience may help another. Keep going, kiddos. Don't quit before the miracle. Wallpaper your mind with love. Rest is all noise & baloney."

“Baby Bambo” is Natasha’s upcoming film which focuses on a New York boxing promoter struggling to balance his obligations as a father with his career. Lyonne serves as a writer and director for the project.

In an old interview, Lyonne, who entered rehab in 2006, publicly acknowledged her substance abuse problem and said, "It's weird to talk about. I was definitely as good as dead, you know? A lot of people don't come back. That makes me feel wary and self-conscious. I wouldn't want to feel prideful about it. People really rallied around me and pulled me up by my f***ing bootstraps.”

Amid a series of run-ins with the law and persistent health issues arising from substance abuse, Lyonne was once evicted from her building by fellow actor Michael Rappaport.

With a notable comeback to acting, Natasha was seen in projects like “Orange is the New Black” and “Russian Doll”, even bagging multiple SAG Awards alongside Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.
