American singer-songwriter and actor Nick Jonas is set to star in an untitled Netflix rom-com to be directed by Ari Sandel.
The film, written by Tamara Chestna, follows the story of a perennial bachelor whose "no strings attached" lifestyle is upended when he unexpectedly inherits his cousin’s infant child. Just as finds his footing as a father, complications arise when the baby’s godmother shows up around the holidays to claim the custody of the infant. What ensues is a love story the duo never anticipated.
The film’s production team includes Steve Barnett of Monarch Media, Mark Ross from Lincoln Road Films, and Chestna, alongside Spencer Berman and Nick Jonas for Powered by Jonas. Serving as executive producers for Monarch are Alan Powell and Vicky Patel.

Later this year, Jonas will also be seen alongside Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, and Kevin Hart in the latest “Jumanji” film from Columbia Pictures.
