For actor-singer Jennifer Lopez, her neck is not just another body part. It is a trusted companion in her extremely demanding choreography and workout routine, and an active participant at her highly-anticipated and widely witnessed red-carpet appearances. Which is why, JLo treats it with loads of tender love and care.
“A makeup artist told me a long time ago, ‘Don’t forget your neck. Nobody else does,’” Lopez said with a laugh in a latest interview.
“My dancing is athletic. I’m always rolling my head around, doing flips and tricks, and sliding across the floor. There’s so much tension in my neck,” remarked the diva, adding that her neck has been the inspiration behind the latest beauty product from her skincare line, JLo Beauty That Spotlight Silhouette Firming Neck Serum.
Lopez further revealed that she has been inspired by so many eras, from the heroines of the ’40s and ’50s to Hollywood stars of the ’60s and ’70s.

“When I was in grade school in the ’80s, it was the hip-hop era. My aesthetic has always been a mix of street and glam, and super couture,” said the 56-year-old star.
Asked about the wellness trend she desires to try this year, "If You Had My Love" singer said: “I have to get into cryo and cold plunging. I saw recently on TikTok that people were putting their faces in ice. I want to try that. That’s going to be my new thing.”
Sharing the oft-asked secret about her fitness, Lopez said: “People think all you should care about is your body being shaped. That’s part of it. But when I’m strong, I feel good.”
“My primary routine, which I’ve been doing consistently for the past eight years, is weight lifting. In years before that, it was more about cardio and circuit training. Now I’m about maintaining muscle and tightness. Food is a big part of that. I’ve had to alter how I eat as I’ve matured. I used to be able to eat all the carbs, and now I can’t anymore. I had to learn how to eat more protein and vegetables and now I actually enjoy doing that. I feel much stronger than I did when I was in my 20s and 30s. I’m the strongest I’ve ever been,” the “Hustlers” star concluded.
