Yusuf Ibrahim, a security consultant for Bollywood weddings, shared that Alia Bhatt’s wedding with Ranbir Kapoor was the toughest one he had to manage.
In a recent interview, Yusuf described the chaos at the wedding when hundreds gathered at the couple’s Pali Hill home. He said that over 350 media personnel were outside the venue, and dealing with the crowd was extremely challenging.
Yusuf explained, “The toughest wedding we managed was Alia Bhatt’s. At least 350 people from media companies were there. Their fans gathered outside, and the whole of Pali Hill was crowded. We had to manage guests' cars from the bottom of the road. It was tough because even the wedding guests were celebrities, and the noise bothered the neighbours.”
He went on to explain how he managed his team during the wedding, saying, “We had 60 people per shift, working in 8-hour shifts around the clock. The building only had one gate for entry and exit, so we had to escort all the guests, who were all celebrities, through the busy road. The press was relentless that night.”
To handle the situation, Yusuf kept half of his team in uniforms and the other half in civilian clothes to monitor the crowd discreetly. He said, “My team would update me if the media tried to climb the wall, and I’d direct them to cover it.”
Yusuf also shared that while he knew Alia Bhatt from her debut in Student of the Year, he only started working with Ranbir Kapoor after Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. "They trust me with my work," he added.
