The swearing-in ceremony for the new BJP government in Haryana is scheduled for October 17 in Panchkula, according to a party statement released on Saturday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with senior BJP leaders and chief ministers from other states, is expected to attend the event, which will take place at the Dussehra ground in Panchkula Sector 5 at 10 am.
Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar confirmed that the Prime Minister has approved the ceremony, where the chief minister and his council of ministers will take their oaths.
During the assembly elections, the BJP indicated that Nayab Singh Saini, who succeeded Khattar as chief minister in March, would be the party's candidate for the top position if they secured victory.
The BJP achieved its best-ever performance, winning 48 seats—11 more than Congress—while the JJP and AAP suffered significant losses, and the INLD managed to secure only two seats.
