Yemen's Houthi rebels have joined the ongoing conflict as Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a fresh barrage of missiles targeting several Israeli cities and military sites in the northern and central parts of the country.

The attack comes in response to earlier Israeli airstrikes on Iran. According to reports, the Iran-backed Houthis fired ballistic missiles towards Israel in a show of solidarity with Tehran.

Iranian sources said dozens of hypersonic ballistic missiles were launched, hitting the Nevatim and Tel Nof airbases. The Houthis confirmed their involvement, saying they had targeted "sensitive Israeli enemy targets in the occupied Jaffa region."

In a statement posted on Telegram, the group declared a "complete and total ban" on Israeli maritime navigation in the Red Sea and warned that it would "respond to escalation with escalation."

"We will not stand idly by in the face of the unjust siege imposed on our people and the peoples of the axis of jihad and resistance in Palestine, Gaza, Iran, Lebanon and Iraq," the statement added.

Iran has confirmed that there were no casualties in the latest Israeli strike on a petrochemical plant in Mahshahr.

Meanwhile, Israeli authorities have maintained silence on casualties resulting from the fresh Iranian strikes, citing strong media censorship.

The IRGC has warned that the latest escalation with Israel could continue for several days and said it is fully prepared to deal with any incoming threats.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly called an emergency security meeting amid the escalating situation. Despite repeated calls from US

President Donald Trump urging restraint, Netanyahu is facing growing pressure, particularly over Israeli actions in Lebanon. The latest developments have once again raised concerns about his commitment to peace.

Analysts suggest the US has lost some influence over both Israel and Iran, raising fears that other nations could be dragged into the wider conflict. The international community, already concerned about disruptions linked to the Strait of Hormuz, has urged both sides to exercise restraint and return to diplomatic engagement.

The situation remains tense across multiple fronts. In addition to the Middle East crisis, tensions are rising in the Korean Peninsula and the Taiwan Strait.

Reports indicate that Chinese forces, including PLA Navy and PLA Air Force, have again entered restricted waters near Taiwan, while Chinese President Xi Jinping is on a twp-day state visit to North Korea.
