Iranian authorities are discussing the agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency and urged the regional countries to go beyond issuing empty rhetorical speeches against Israeli attacks on Qatar.
Iranian top diplomat Abbas Araghchi on Saturday headed the emergency meeting of the parliament's national security commission to seek answers over the cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog. He is likely to pressure the hard-line-dominated parliament that believes no access should be given to the IAEA without strict permission from the parliament.
Araghchi, though, agreed to cooperate with the IAEA chief in Cairo, Egypt, on Tuesday to try to resume cooperation, which was shelved after the Israeli and US airstrikes on Tehran.
Meanwhile, IAEA chief Rafael Grossi told the board of governors that the technical agreement includes “all facilities and installations in Iran” and “contemplates the required reporting on all the attacked facilities, including the nuclear material present”.
However, Araghchi later rebuked the claims, saying that IAEA inspectors will have no access to Iranian nuclear sites beyond the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant.

He said that arrangement would only be made if the Iranian parliament’s supreme national Security Council, which includes the president, parliament and judiciary chiefs, several ministers, military commanders and those appointed by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
While Iran considered pulling out of the NPT following the suspension of cooperation with the IAEA after US-Israeli attacks, the country later announced that it was ready to engage in nuclear talks with the UN watchdog.
Meanwhile, EU nations known as the E3, which include France, the UK and Germany, had threatened to reimpose snapback sanctions on Iran if Tehran failed or withdrew from nuclear talks. The situation on the ground in the Middle East is witnessing random and escalatory developments with Israel’s aggressive posturing in the region.
