Chaos has erupted in Middle East as its affiliated groups have intensified attacks on US assets across the Gulf region on the third day of the ongoing conflict, with Hezbollah, the Houthis, and other Iranian proxy groups joining the offensive against the United States and Israel.
As many as 40 top members of the Iranian leadership have been assassinated in joint US-Israeli strikes since the campaign began. Similar reports emerged from Bahrain, where at least one F-15 fighter jet was shot down by Iranian forces on Monday.
Kuwaiti authorities immediately launched search and rescue operations, evacuating all crew members and transporting them to hospital for medical treatment. Their condition is reported as stable.
Meanwhile, Bahrain has advised US and other foreign nationals to avoid staying in hotels in Manama, warning that such locations could become targets for Iranian proxies.
These groups, acting as extensions of the Iranian government, have been plotting strikes on bases and facilities hosting US and foreign personnel.
Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s National Security Council, has denied making any attempts to resume talks with the United States. In Lebanon, at least 31 people have been killed after Israel launched airstrikes across the country, the health ministry confirmed.
Israeli officials stated that its forces are striking at the “heart of Tehran” and continuing operations in Lebanon following a barrage of rockets fired by Hezbollah into northern Israel.
Furthermore, at least one Chinese national has been killed in Iran, marking the first reported foreign civilian casualty in the ongoing war. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning stated, “The most urgent task is a cessation of military operations and preventing a spillover of conflict.”
Though Iran has so far rejected mediation efforts and ceasefire proposals reportedly conveyed through the Italian government and one other nation.
