United States President Donald Trump has vowed to end “radical left terrorism” after a gunman targeted an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas, killing one and injuring two others.
Authorities identified the gunman as 29-year-old Joshua Jahn, who reportedly took his own life following the incident. Investigators said shell casings recovered at the scene bore the words “ANTI-ICE” written in blue marker.
No ICE officials were harmed in the attack, although three detainees inside a transport vehicle were injured, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
In a post on Truth Social, Trump described the attack as “despicable” and directly blamed Democratic rhetoric for inciting violence against law enforcement.
He said, “The continuing violence from Radical Left Terrorists, in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, must be stopped.”

Trump added that he would sign an executive order this week to “dismantle these domestic terrorism networks.”
Meanwhile, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said the attack “won’t deter the resolve” of authorities and added that the government would hire more ICE agents in the coming days.
US Vice President JD Vance also labelled Jahn a “violent left-wing extremist”, stating that evidence not yet made public indicated the attack was politically motivated.
“You don’t have to agree with Donald Trump’s immigration policies, but if your political rhetoric encourages violence against our law enforcement, you can go straight to hell,” he said.
