Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that his team was working on “identifying realistically possible steps” towards ending the war with Russia, following US President Donald Trump's revision of the deadline. In a post on X, Zelenskyy wrote, "Everything must be reliable and dignified for Ukraine.”
The Ukrainian leader stated on Wednesday that further negotiations with the United States would take place on the 28-page document outlining the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. “At the same time, we are considering and finalising the work on 20 points of a fundamental document that could define the parameters for ending the war,” he said.
“The document detailing Ukraine’s concerns and demands would be sent back to the United States in the coming days after we negotiate with the US peace delegation and European partners,” he said.

President Trump had sharply criticised the Ukrainian leader for not having read the document. Zelenskyy, however, responded by saying he had been hoping to send through the revised plan on Thursday after meetings with the US and EU. Zelenskyy said that on Thursday, there would be a meeting of the "Coalition of the Willing” with work to guarantee future security and prevent a recurrence of Russian aggression."
Russia has constantly accused the Zelenskyy regime of derailing and purposely delaying the peace plan while warning the United States that Kyiv’s western backers are only extending the conflict in Ukraine.
