The United States President Donald Trump has said Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy “can keep fighting his little heart out” against Russia if he refuses to agree to a US-backed peace plan to settle the war with Moscow.
The US has handed over to Kyiv a new draft proposal for settling the war, with a deadline that ends this coming Thursday. The 28-page draft contains several terms that are considered unacceptable to the Kyiv regime and its backers in the West, who have constantly rejected them.
One of the major and important conditions in the peace deal remains Ukraine ceding land to Russia, including the Donbas and Crimea, seized during the 2014 offensive. Additionally, the draft demands that Ukraine reduce its military size by a fair share and give up any aspirations of joining NATO.
Trump made these comments on Saturday evening while speaking to reporters outside the White House.
When responding to a query on what would happen if Zelenskyy rejects the peace proposal drafted by Washington, Trump said, “Then he can continue to fight his little heart out.” Trump’s fresh statement echoed comments he made on Friday, when he said that Zelenskyy “is going to have to accept something” at some point.

Trump warned the coming winter could prove catastrophic for the Ukrainian population as it is continuously targeted by Russia's armed forces. “He has no choice but to accept it,” Trump added. “He will have to like [the plan] and if he does not like it, then, you know, they should just keep fighting, I guess,” he said.
As per White House sources, Washington has threatened to end all military support to Ukraine, along with intelligence sharing, if Zelenskyy rejects the peace offer.
