Politics over the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak controversy has intensified, following the launch of an online campaign seeking resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The petition was initiated by Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janata Party, who is seeking accountability from the central government over what he terms a total "system failure" affecting more than 2.2 million aspirants.

In a video statement released across social media platforms, Dipke urged citizens to back the campaign to force a response from the administration. The professor emphasised the mental trauma that candidates along with their relatives had been subjected to because of the situation. It should be mentioned that the constant state of uncertainty caused by the situation has resulted in many students having mental problems such as depression.

According to Dipke, now the whole issue is no longer connected with the failure in test organisation, but with the complete loss of faith in India's education system. Since there was an infringement of the system which influenced millions of students' futures, the Education Minister has to resign.

Such demands arise in the context of heightened scrutiny at the national level of examination integrity. Although the government has already acknowledged the existence of mistakes and called for the holding of the examinations again along with the adoption of new anti-cheating policies, some say that nothing is being done to the top executives.

In addition to highlighting the current issue in his speech, Dipke has managed to tie in concerns regarding the wider issues of examination management, educational reform, and the future employability of youths, comparing these concerns with historical grievances, such as those concerning the CBSE re-examination fee. The virtual protest reflects a larger movement of dissatisfaction from parents and youths due to feelings of desperation caused by the system’s instability and academic pressures. As the controversy gains further traction in politics and parliament, this recent call for resignations is likely to intensify conflict over the management of national examinations in India.
