The chief minister of Delhi is given 2 Bungalows. While Bungalow 1 is CM's residence, the second Bungalow is kept as a camp office but the chief minister Gupta is currently residing in her Shalimar Bagh house.

After being sworn in as Delhi's chief minister in February, CM Rekha Gupta has refused to live in the former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's official Bungalow at 6 Flagstaff Road. She has instead promised to turn the house—which the BJP had called "Sheeshmahal"—into a museum.

Former Delhi CM and AAP party leader Arvind Kejriwal's extravagant renovation of the Bungalow, which is over 40,000 square yards, drew harsh criticism from the BJP. In October 2024, the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) published a report revealing the property (Bungalow at 6 Flagstaff Road) had undergone significant refurbishment, including the installation of luxury fixtures and high-end appliances.
