The Delhi Police have arrested a suspected gangster who is allegedly involved in the recent firing incident at comedian Kapil Sharma’s restaurant in Canada, a senior official confirmed on Friday.
The arrested individual has been identified as Bandhu Man Singh. According to the police, Singh is a close associate of Canada-based gangster Goldy Dhillon, who is believed to be running multiple extortion rackets that target businessmen and high-profile individuals living abroad, the official added.
Investigators have revealed that Bandhu Man Singh was actively coordinating with Goldy Dhillon’s criminal network and was part of a larger conspiracy to target the popular comedian-actor’s restaurant as a deliberate act of intimidation. A police officer directly involved in the case stated that the arrest was made following specific intelligence inputs received by the force.
